Gui Cavalcanti
Gui Cavalcanti is a robotics engineer who co-founded Open Source Medical Supplies, Artisan's Asylum, and MegaBots Inc. He studied engineering at Olin College and began his career at Boston Dynamics. In 2010 he opened Artisan's Asylum in Somerville, Massachusetts, later called the world's largest hackerspace by Wired. He helped start MegaBots Inc., maker of a giant fighting robot that set records and appeared on Jay Leno's Garage in 2018. In 2015 he posted a YouTube video inviting the Kuratas robot team from Japan to a duel. He stars in The Giant Robot Duel: MegaBots vs. Suidobashi. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he co-founded Open Source Medical Supplies to share open-source designs for medical gear.
