Great-billed kingfisher (Pelargopsis melanorhyncha), also called the black-billed kingfisher, is a bird in the kingfisher family. It is found only in Indonesia, on Sulawesi and nearby islands in the Sulawesi and Sula archipelagos. It lives in mangrove forests in tropical or subtropical areas. There are three subspecies: P. m. melanorhyncha on Sulawesi and nearby islands, P. m. dichrorhyncha on the Banggai Islands, and P. m. eutreptorhyncha on the Sula Islands. The species is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, meaning it is not currently at risk of extinction. Its scientific name is Pelargopsis melanorhyncha, described by Temminck in 1826.
