Goddess of Love is the sixth studio album by American soul singer Phyllis Hyman. It was released on May 9, 1983 by Arista Records and recorded during 1982–1983 at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia and The Automatt in San Francisco. The album blends R&B, soul, and funk and runs 40 minutes and 39 seconds. Producers were Thom Bell and Narada Michael Walden (for Perfection Light Productions).

Two singles were issued from the album. The first, Riding the Tiger, came out in May 1983. The 7-inch single features an edited A-side and an instrumental B-side, while the 12-inch contains an extended dance version. Riding the Tiger was also released as a single in the United Kingdom and Germany. The second single, Why Did You Turn Me On, was released in September 1983 in the United States only. The album track Let Somebody Love You served as the B-side for the single.

In 2010, Goddess of Love was reissued on CD by Reel Music, a Sony imprint, with a remastered sound and a bonus dance remix of Riding the Tiger.
