Ralph Furey

Ralph J. Furey (June 16, 1903 – November 14, 1984) was an American college athlete, football player and coach, and athletic administrator. Born in New York City, he attended Brooklyn Preparatory School andplayed football and baseball at Columbia University, where he captained the football team in 1927. He later became Columbia’s athletic director, serving from 1943 to 1968. Furey died at age 81 in Durango, Colorado.
