Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM is a Filipino Vincentian priest, theologian, writer, and educator. Since 2023, he has served as the seventh president of Adamson University, succeeding Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM.

Born in Hagdan, Oslob, Cebu, Pilario studied at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, where he earned a Doctorate and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Adamson University and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from the University of Santo Tomas. He has worked as a professor and dean at St. Vincent School of Theology and written many scholarly articles and op-eds on social justice from 2002 to 2023.

As Adamson’s president, Pilario emphasizes that the university is not a business. He notes that students should be served sincerely, not treated as mere clients, and that the institution should care for the most vulnerable. He plans to focus on technical education alongside the Vincentians’ humanities tradition.

Regarding Adamson’s future in the QS World University Rankings, Pilario says its inclusion would show that the university’s mission to serve marginalized people through quality education is relevant beyond the Philippines.
