Giancarlo Genta (born 1948 in Turin, Italy) is a professor at the Politecnico di Torino, where he teaches machine design and construction. His work focuses on vibration, vehicle design, magnetic bearings, and rotordynamics. He has written more than 50 articles for professional journals and has published extensively on SETI research. Since 2018, he has chaired the automotive evolution class at Politecnico di Torino.
