George Swarn
George Washington Swarn III (born February 15, 1964) is a former American football running back who played in the NFL. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and went to Malabar High School in Mansfield. He played college football at Miami University, where he was a standout rusher and receiver and led the Mid-American Conference in rushing in 1984 and 1985.
Swarn was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round of the 1987 NFL Draft (118th overall). He signed with the Cardinals in July 1987 but was released in September. He then joined the Cleveland Browns in October 1987 and appeared in one game that season, spending the rest of 1987 and all of 1988 on injured reserve. He was released by the Browns in 1989. The Miami Dolphins signed him in 1990, but he again spent the season on injured reserve and became a free agent in February 1991.
