Gaze (album)
Gaze is the eighth studio album by The Beautiful South. It was released in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2003. The album runs 47 minutes and 52 seconds and is in the alternative rock style. It was released by Go! Discs / Mercury Records. Producers include Jon Kelly, John Brough, and Paul Heaton.
This release marked the first album with Allison Wheeler as the new lead singer, replacing Jacqui Abbott. All songs were written by Paul Heaton and Dave Rotheray. The band supported the album with the Gaze With The Beautiful South tour.
Two singles came from Gaze: “Just a Few Things That I Ain’t” (October 2003) and “Let Go with the Flow” (December 2003). As with many Beautiful South releases, the singles featured B-sides that included unreleased material.
