Galaxy is a chocolate brand from Mars, Incorporated. It started in the United Kingdom in 1960 and is sold in many countries. In the US and Canada, Galaxy chocolate is sold as Dove. In 2014 it was the UK’s second-best-selling chocolate bar after Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Galaxy offers lots of products, including Galaxy bars in milk chocolate with caramel, Cookie Crumble, and Fruit & Nut, as well as Minstrels, Ripple, Amicelli, Duetto, Promises, Bubbles, and Truffle. In some regions you’ll also see Jewels or Senzi. The brand covers other foods too, like ready-to-drink chocolate milk, hot chocolate, cakes, and ice cream. A vegan Galaxy range launched in 2019.

In 2023, the 110g Smooth Milk Galaxy bar sold in the UK was reduced to 100g without a price drop, which people called shrinkflation during high inflation.

Galaxy Bubbles is an aerated bar similar to Wispa or Aero, introduced in the early 2010s. The standard bar is 31g (lighter than some competitors), and there are also a 100g block and a 28g milk chocolate egg. It’s suitable for vegetarians. Galaxy Honeycomb Crisp adds honeycomb toffee pieces to the chocolate.

A 2013 UK ad featured Audrey Hepburn singing “Moon River,” made by Framestore in London. Galaxy has also sponsored the British Book Awards.
