Sahan Arachchige
Sahan Shashintha Diyamantha Arachchige, born 13 May 1996 in Ragama, Sri Lanka, is a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who plays as a batting all-rounder. He has represented Sri Lanka in limited-overs cricket since 2023. Arachchige made his ODI debut on 7 July 2023 against West Indies and his T20I debut on 4 October 2023 against Afghanistan.
Domestically, he has played for Colts Cricket Club (2015–2018), Negombo Cricket Club (2018–2019), Nondescripts Cricket Club (2019–present), and Galle Marvels (2020–present). He also played for the Galle Gladiators in the inaugural Lanka Premier League in 2020. In 2021, he was part of the SLC Blues, and in 2022 he was named in Sri Lanka A’s squad for matches against Australia A. In 2023, he was named in the national ODI and T20I squads for the series against New Zealand. He captained Sri Lanka’s T20I side at the 2022 Asian Games against Afghanistan, but Sri Lanka were unable to reach the final after that match.
Career highlights include 5 ODIs and 1 T20I to date, with contributions as both a batsman and a bowler in domestic cricket across 71 first-class and 103 List A matches.
