Fuzail Ahmad Nasiri
Fuzail Ahmad Nasiri, born on 13 May 1978 in Nasir Ganj, Darbhanga, Bihar, is an Indian Deobandi Islamic scholar, Urdu writer and poet. He is a professor of hadith and the vice‑administrator of education at Jamia Imam Muhammad Anwar Shah, and he studied at Darul Uloom Deoband. Writing under the pen name Ambar Nasiri, his main interests are Urdu literature and poetry. His notable books include Hadīth-e-Ambar, Tafhīm-e-Ilhāmi and Tafhīm-ul-Maybzi.
Nasiri began his studies at Madrasa Mehr-ul-Uloom in Madhubani with his father, then attended Madrasa Diniya Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh and Madrasa Islamia in Darbhanga. He graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband in 1998 and was influenced in Urdu poetry by Kalim Ajiz and Muhammad Iqbal.
His teaching career started in July 1999 at Darul Uloom Azizia in Mira Road, where he stayed for four years. In 2004 he moved to Ahmedabad to teach at Jamia Darul Quran in Sarkhej and the Madrasa Faizan-ul-Quran in Saraspur for four more years. In 2008 he joined Jamia Imam Muhammad Anwar Shah, where he teaches hadith and serves as vice‑administrator of education. He has also contributed as a columnist to Urdu Times for two years and has published pieces in Roznama Inqelab.
In March 2019 he received the Allama Iqbal Award at the All India Quran Competition in Mumbai.
