Daniel Jewel
Daniel Jewel is a London-based film producer and director. He studied at Bristol University and Oxford University and has worked with British directors such as Stephen Poliakoff, Charles Sturridge and Brian Gilbert. In 2006 he produced Allegiance at the Edinburgh Festival, directed by Brian Gilbert, with Michael Fassbender as Michael Collins. In 2007 he produced and directed two Channel 4 films about shisha cafes in London's Arabic quarter. In 2008 he directed two documentaries for Al Gore's Current TV. Later that year his company Third Man Films produced Sidney Turtlebaum, starring Derek Jacobi and Rupert Evans; The Times called it a masterpiece, and it was nominated for a British Independent Film Award and shortlisted for an Academy Award in 2010.
