Awesome Con is an annual pop culture convention held in Washington, D.C., at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. It began on April 20, 2013, and has grown into one of the East Coast’s largest fan conventions. The first event drew about 7,000 attendees, while the 2024 show hosted around 60,000 people.

The convention welcomes celebrities from TV, film, and comics, including David Tennant, John Boyega, Hayden Christensen, Stan Lee, Rosario Dawson, William Shatner, and George Takei, among many others. In 2014, civil rights activist and congressman John Lewis attended and spoke about his autobiographical graphic novel, "March."

The 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, after plans for a December 2020 event were scrapped. Awesome Con returned in August 2021 with guests such as Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Billy Boyd, Christina Ricci, George Takei, Adam Savage, and William Shatner.

The event is organized by LeftField Media and operates as a for-profit convention.
