Polygaster

Polygaster is a genus of flies in the Tachinidae family. It belongs to the Dexiinae subfamily and the Voriini tribe. The genus was described by Wulp in 1890, with Polygaster ivu Wulp, 1890 as the type species. Several synonyms have been used in the past: Polyhaster Zetina et al., 2018; Polygastropsis Townsend, 1919; and Actinomintho Townsend, 1928.
