Fred M. Ahern (November 6, 1884 – September 17, 1950) was an American lawyer and Republican politician from Brooklyn, New York. He was born in Brooklyn and attended St. James Academy, then St. Bonaventure College, and earned an LL.B. from Brooklyn Law School in 1907. He practiced law in Brooklyn and entered politics as a Republican. Ahern served in the New York State Assembly representing Kings County's 10th district in 1911, 1912, 1914, 1915, 1916, and 1917. He chaired the Committee on Claims in 1914, the Committee on General Laws in 1915, and the Committee on Codes in 1916. He died of a heart attack on September 17, 1950, at his brother John F. Ahern's home in Manhattan.
