Ram Chander Jangra (born c. 1950) is an Indian politician from Haryana and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana since March 2020, elected unopposed. Jangra began his political career with the Haryana Vikas Party, led by Bansi Lal, and joined the BJP after the party dissolved in 1996. He contested the 2014 Haryana Legislative Assembly election from Gohana, finishing third with about 24% of the votes. Born in Meham village, Rohtak district, his early life and education are not well documented. He is considered close to former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. In May 2025, at an event in Bhiwani, he commented on the Pahalgam terror attack, saying that women who lost their husbands lacked a warrior spirit and suggesting that Agniveer training could have reduced casualties; the remarks sparked widespread backlash from opposition parties, who labeled them insensitive or misogynistic and called for apologies and action against him.
