Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land
Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land is a 2013 Japanese film based on the Kamen Rider Wizard TV series. It was released on August 3, 2013, as a double feature with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music, and runs about 62 minutes.
In the story, Haruto (Kamen Rider Wizard) and Koyomi fall into a magical world where magic is everyday life and mana acts like money. They team up with friends to stop a mysterious Golden Magician who abducts Koyomi. They learn that Emperor Maya is using a machine to drain people’s mana, and they discover that the Golden Magician is actually Sorcerer. After a climactic battle, Wizard defeats Sorcerer, but Magic Land starts to disappear. Haruto and Koyomi return to their world, while Shiina learns that his magic has been affected by their actions and Kamp Zan later finds his own path.
The film was directed by Shojiro Nakazawa and written by Junko Kōmura, with a cast that includes Shunya Shiraishi, Makoto Okunaka, Junki Tozuka, Yuko Takayama, and Tasuku Nagase. Takanori Jinnai stars as Minister Auma, who becomes Kamen Rider Sorcerer, making him the oldest actor to portray a Kamen Rider at 54. The movie earned about US$12 million in Japan. To promote the film, Toei released online shorts under the Kamen Rider Wizard in Magica Land banner, offering related stories and side adventures.
