Fowl Weather is a 1953 Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies animated short starring Tweety and Sylvester. It was directed by Friz Freleng, with a story by Warren Foster, and released on April 4, 1953. The title is a pun on “fowl” and the phrase “foul weather.” The short lasts six minutes.

Plot
Granny leaves Hector the Bulldog in charge of Tweety and warns that she’ll shoot Hector if Tweety isn’t kept safe. Sylvester tries to eat Tweety on a farm, first by disguising himself as a scarecrow, then by using a series of other disguises and schemes. Hector yaps at him, and Sylvester even ends up getting clobbered when his plans backfire. Tweety greets the farm animals, insults a pig, and hides in a chicken coop. Sylvester’s attempts to slip into the coop—via a toy soldier, a hen costume, and other tricks—are thwarted by a rooster. At one point Tweety warns a worm to hide from the other chickens. In the finale, Hector realizes Tweety is missing, fears Granny’s wrath, and paints Sylvester yellow to pretend he’s Tweety, stuffing the real Tweety into the cage. Granny returns and the ruse seems to work. Tweety reappears, notices the change, and quips, “Ho ho! If he’s a birdie, den dat makes me a putty tat!” Tweety then starts acting like a cat, much to Hector’s shock.

Cast
Mel Blanc voices Tweety and Sylvester; Bea Benaderet appears (uncredited).
