Forces of Fantasy
Forces of Fantasy is a 1984 expansion for Warhammer from Games Workshop. It comes as three books that expand the game and fix mistakes in the original rules.
Reviews were mixed but generally positive. Jon Sutherland (White Dwarf #55) gave it 7 out of 10 and said it’s worth it for Warhammer fans who were unhappy with some parts, because the new material can improve the game without just adding complexity.
Richard Lee (Imagine) noted that the new rules are similar in style to Warhammer, but the supplement is a strong addition for players who want more, especially since Warhammer’s appeal lies in its simplicity and clear figures.
Edwin J. Rotondaro (Space Gamer No. 73) called it a nice package, but warned you need Warhammer to use it well; some parts could work with other systems, but the price makes it a risky buy.
