Frank Cicci Racing
Cicci Racing, officially Cicci Motorsports, was an American stock-car racing team owned by Frank Cicci of Elmira, New York. The team started as a short-track operation in Upstate New York and moved into NASCAR’s Busch/Xfinity Series in the mid-1980s. Over the years they fielded many drivers, including Jimmy Spencer, Todd Bodine, Mike McLaughlin, Geoff Bodine, David Green, and Tim Fedewa, among others. The team went through name changes, notably Cicci-Welliver Racing in the late 1990s, and carried a variety of sponsors such as Hungry Jack, Goulds Pumps, Fiddle Faddle, LesCare Kitchens, Dollar General, and more. In the Xfinity/Busch Series they logged nearly 500 starts and earned 19 wins. The operation shut down in April 2007 after financial difficulties, with an attempted return for the Zippo 200 at Daytona that year never materializing.
