Fondettes

Fondettes is a commune in the suburbs of Tours, in central France. It’s in the Indre-et-Loire department, within the Centre-Val de Loire region. The town covers about 132 square kilometers and had around 11,000 residents in 2023, giving a density of roughly 340 people per square kilometer. The elevation ranges from 42 to 100 meters above sea level. Fondettes is part of the Tours Métropole Val de Loire intercommunal area, in the Tours arrondissement and the Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire canton. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Cédric de Oliveira.
