Benjamin Usher

Benjamin Che Usher (born 3 February 1970 in Wycliffe, County Durham) is a former English cricketer. He batted right-handed and bowled right-arm medium pace. He played ten List A matches between 1992 and 2000, scoring 76 runs with a top score of 32 and taking 6 wickets with best figures of 2/30.

Usher’s List A debut was for a British Universities team against Worcestershire in the 1992 Benson & Hedges Cup. He later played for Northumberland in 1996 and for the Durham Cricket Board in the NatWest Trophy from 1999 to 2000, appearing in six matches. He took one catch in the field.

His grandfather, Charles Peat, played first-class cricket for Oxford University, Middlesex and the Free Foresters, and later served as a Conservative MP for Darlington.
