First Baptist Church (Fall River, Massachusetts)
First Baptist Church in Fall River, Massachusetts, is a historic church at 200-228 North Main Street. It was built in 1850 and designed by local architect Josiah Brown in a Gothic Revival style with wood and brick trim. The tower originally had a tall spire and corner decorations, but these were destroyed by Hurricane Carol in 1954. In 1871, the Meeting House was enlarged after extensive repairs. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 16, 1983.
