1960 Iowa State Teachers Panthers football team represented Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in the North Central Conference during the 1960 season. In Stan Sheriff’s first year as head coach, the Panthers went 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the NCC, capturing the conference championship. They played at O. R. Latham Stadium.

The team earned a spot in the Mineral Water Bowl, losing 6-17 to Hillsdale. Five players received all-conference honors: guard George Asleson, quarterback Jerry Morgan, end Mace Reyerson, center Charles Schulte, and guard Wendell Williams; Asleson also earned AP All-America honors. Reyerson set a team record with 127 interception return yards, and the defense tied a team record by intercepting seven passes in the game against South Dakota on October 29.
