Fialho de Almeida
Fialho de Almeida, born José Valentim Fialho de Almeida (7 May 1857 – 4 March 1911), was a Portuguese writer, journalist and translator. He is associated with Symbolism and the Decadent movement. He wrote fiction and journalism, and his political writings often criticized the monarchy and supported republican ideas. He was born in Vidigueira, Portugal, and died at age 53 in Cuba, Portugal.
