Fali (footballer, born 1993)
Fali, full name Rafael Jiménez Jarque, is a Spanish footballer born on 12 August 1993 in Valencia. He is 1.86 m tall and plays as a centre-back or defensive midfielder for Cádiz, wearing number 3.
He started in youth teams Benimarc, Villarreal, Catarroja and Levante, joining Levante’s youth system in 2010 at age 17. He made his senior debut with Levante B, then moved to Huracán Valencia in 2013. In 2015 he joined Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the Segunda División, made his professional debut on 30 August 2015, and scored his first second-division goal on 19 December 2015. He was loaned to Barcelona B from January 2016 to 2018, with the loan later extended to 2018. He returned to Nàstic in 2018. In 2019 he joined Cádiz on loan, and in July 2019 signed a permanent deal. He renewed his contract in February 2020 through 2024 and helped Cádiz win promotion to La Liga, making his top-flight debut on 20 September 2020 against Huesca.
Personal life: He comes from a gypsy community; he married at 16 and had a child at 17, and he once worked in a scrapyard.
