Meycauayan College
Meycauayan College, officially Dalubhasaan ng Meycauayan, is a private, non-sectarian school in Meycauayan City, Bulacan, Philippines. It began in 1925 as Meycauayan Institute, the town’s first private high school. In 1980 it was renamed Meycauayan College, and the first college graduation was held in May 1981. From 1981 to 2004, the College Department graduated about 4,422 students, including many CPAs and licensed teachers. In 1985 the school opened its Child Study Center, later establishing an Elementary Department. New degree programs followed: Bachelor in Elementary Education (1987) and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (1990, replacing the previous BSC major in Accounting). In 1991 the Banking and Finance course became Financial Management. In 1993 the college offered Master of Arts in Education with several majors. CHED allowed a BS in Computer Science in 1995, and in 2003 an Associate in Computer Technology was added. The BSCS curriculum was revised under a ladderized scheme in 2008. Also in 2008, CHED granted Government Recognition to offer Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, and the college received permission to run the first and second years of Travel Management and Accounting Technology programs. Later programs included Legal Management, Social Work, Criminology, Library and Information Science, and Physical Education. The main campus is Calvario, with an annex campus in Malhacan.
