Eudendrium is a large group of marine animals called hydroids. They are cnidarians (related to jellyfish and corals) that live in the ocean. Eudendrium is one of two genera in the family Eudendriidae, and the genus was first described by Ehrenberg in 1834. These animals grow into branching, plant‑like colonies made of many tiny polyps that capture food with their tentacles. There are many described species in this genus.
