David McInerney (born 7 December 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for the Clare senior team and the Tulla club. He usually plays in defence, often at full-back.

He helped Tulla win the Senior B title in 2010. McInerney made his Clare senior Championship debut on 2 June 2013 against Waterford, starting at full-back in a 2-20 to 1-15 win, and scored his first Clare senior point against Laois in the 2013 All-Ireland qualifiers.

He is the son of former Clare hurler Jim McInerney, who was part of Clare’s 1995 winning panel. In 2013, McInerney was named Bord Gáis U-21 Hurling Player of the Year and won an All-Star.

On 21 July 2024, Clare won the All-Ireland for the first time in 11 years after an extra-time win over Cork, 3-29 to 1-34, with McInerney starting at half-back. He earned a second All-Star at the end of the 2024 season.
