Eileen Dennes (1 February 1898 – 22 January 1991) was an Irish-born actress of the silent era. Born Eileen Amhurst Cowen in Dublin, she began on the stage in the early 1910s. She went to Hollywood in 1917 and acted for the Empire Al Star Film Company, first appearing in The Unforseen as Ethel Fielding, alongside Olive Tell. She also appeared in Her Sister that year. Dennes moved to England to work with Cecil Hepworth, and in 1919 she starred in Sheba as Bessie Saxton, with Alma Taylor. She later had leading roles in Once Aboard the Lugger (1920), Mr. Justice Raffles (1921), and The Pipes of Pan (1923). The Hepworth film Comin' Thro the Rye followed in 1923. She then worked with Fred LeRoy Granville on The Sins Ye Do (1924). Her last film was The Squire of Long Hadley (1925) as Lucy, opposite Brian Aherne. She died on 22 January 1991 in Hungerford, Berkshire, aged 92.
