Bells is a small city in eastern Grayson County, Texas, about north of Dallas. As of 2020, 1,521 people lived there, up from 1,392 in 2010. The town began in the early 1870s when the railroad arrived, and locals say the name Bells came from church bells ringing to greet the railroad.

Highway 56 leads to Sherman (about 12 miles west) and Bonham (about 14 miles east). U.S. Route 82 also passes through the northern part of Bells, linking to Sherman and Bonham. The city covers about 2.2 square miles of land.

The Bells Independent School District serves the community with an elementary school, a junior high, and a high school.
