Egra is a West Bengal Assembly constituency in Purba Medinipur district. It is No. 218 and is part of the Medinipur Lok Sabha constituency. Established in 1957, it has about 219,000 electors and no reservation.

Electoral history (brief)
- The seat has seen winners from several parties over the years. In 2006, Sisir Adhikari (Trinamool) won. The 2009 by-election was won by Samaresh Das (Trinamool) after Adhikari resigned to join Parliament. Prabodh Chandra Sinha was a frequent winner in earlier decades (1982–2001) under various affiliations. Earlier winners also include Khan Samsul Alam (Congress) in 1972 and Bhuban Chandra Kar Mahapatra in 1957.
