Home Alone: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
This is the soundtrack for the 1990 film Home Alone. The score was composed and conducted by John Williams and performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony. The music was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score.
The film’s signature tune, "Somewhere in My Memory," was written to run with the movie and was nominated for both the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. The song, with lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, appears in many parts of the film.
A Spanish version was recorded for the ending credits of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, performed by Ana Belén and titled "Sombras de otros tiempos" ("Shadows of Other/Former Times").
Making the Plane is inspired by Tchaikovsky’s Trepak. All tracks were written and conducted by John Williams unless noted otherwise.
