East Kittson is an unorganized area in Kittson County, Minnesota. It’s named after fur trader and railroad entrepreneur Norman Kittson. In 2000, 13 people lived there.

The area covers 72.7 square miles, almost all land (72.3 sq mi) with about 0.3 sq mi of water. The population density was 0.2 people per square mile.

There were 16 housing units. The residents were 100% White. There were 5 households: 40% were married couples, 20% had a female householder with no husband, and 40% were non-families. 40% of households were individuals. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.67.

Age distribution: 38.5% under 18, 7.7% were 18–24, 30.8% were 25–44, and 23.1% were 45–64. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females, there were 44.4 males; among those 18 and over, there were 60.0 males per 100 females.

Income: median household income was $26,250; median family income was $27,083. Males earned a median of $23,750 and females $17,500. The per‑person income was $7,690. No one was below the poverty line.
