Come On, Be a No-One is a 2:37 alternative/noise rock song by The Cribs. It was released on 23 April 2012 as the second release and first official single from their fifth album, In the Belly of the Brazen Bull. The track was written by Gary, Ross, and Ryan Jarman and produced by David Fridmann. It was recorded in 2011 at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, New York and in London, and later mastered by Greg Calbi in New York City. The sleeve was designed by Nick Scott and features a detail from Sean Croghan’s painting Lessons of Our Forefathers. The red vinyl release (catalog WEBB337S) followed the purple-themed Chi-Town and the color used for Glitters Like Gold. The B-side, Don’t Believe in Me, originated during the time Johnny Marr played with the band in 2010 and was finished after several sessions, with mixing by Woodie Taylor and mastering by Chris Potter.
