Rosario Di Bella
Rosario Di Bella is an Italian composer, singer-songwriter, musician and music arranger. He was born on July 27, 1963, in Zafferana Etnea near Catania, Italy, and is the son of a trumpeter. He spent much of his childhood in Geneva. He started playing guitar at age eight and soon began studying piano. He studied medicine at the University of Catania.
After traveling and performing with different groups, he won the Castrocaro Music Festival in 1987 with the song "Sono interessante." His first album, Pittore Di Me Stesso, came out in 1989 and received good reviews. He made his Sanremo Music Festival debut in 1991 as part of a trio with Marco Conidi and Bungaro; their song "E noi qui" was a hit. He returned to Sanremo in 1993 as a solo artist with "E io che non volevo." In 1995, he scored a major commercial hit with "Difficile amarsi."
Since 2001, Di Bella has mainly worked as a composer, writing songs for other artists such as Paolo Meneguzzi and Patty Pravo.
