Earlie Hudnall, Jr.
Born in 1946 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Earlie Hudnall, Jr. is an American photographer known for documentary pictures of Houston, Texas. He served as a Marine in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967, then studied at Texas Southern University in Houston. In 2023, the Grace Museum held a solo exhibition of his work titled As I See It: Earlie Hudnall, Jr. His photographs were included in the 2025 National Gallery of Art exhibition Photography and the Black Arts Movement, 1955–1985. Hudnall's work is in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Studio Museum in Harlem.
