Canton of Guéret-Sud-Ouest
Guéret-Sud-Ouest was a canton in the Creuse department in central France. It contained five communes and had 5,177 residents in 2012. The seat was Guéret, the main town in the Guéret arrondissement. The area was mainly farmland with some light industry. Elevation ranged from about 350 m (Guéret) to 690 m (La Chapelle-Taillefert), averaging around 491 m. It was part of the Limousin area (now in Nouvelle-Aquitaine). The canton was disbanded in March 2015 during a nationwide reorganisation of cantons.
