E. J. Drayton (born December 13, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a forward and was 204 cm (6 ft 8 in) tall, weighing 98 kg (216 lb). He went to Bonner Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina and Vance in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played college basketball at Colby Community College (2003–2004) and UNC Charlotte (2004–2007). After going undrafted in 2007, he played professionally from 2007 to 2014 for teams in several countries: Barreirense Basket (Portugal), Porvoon Tarmo and Torpan Pojat Helsinki (Finland), Atletico Atenas (Argentina), Hapoel Yokneam Megido, Maccabi Be'er Ya'akov, and Ironi Nahariya (Israel), Akita Northern Happinets (Japan), and Union Dax-Gamarde (France). He is best known for his time with the Akita Northern Happinets in Japan’s bj league.
