Mick Takeuchi (竹内未来 Takeuchi Miku, born July 4) is a Japanese manga artist best known for Her Majesty's Dog, an eleven-volume series that was very popular in Japan. The series has been translated into English by Go! Comi, and all eleven volumes are available in English, along with Bound Beauty and A Wise Man Sleeps. Go! Comi licensed all of her manga, but the company is now defunct; only Her Majesty's Dog was fully released in the U.S., while only a few volumes of Bound Beauty and A Wise Man Sleeps were released. Takeuchi was a guest of honor at Anime Expo 2006 in Anaheim, California. She knew she wanted to create manga since she was 13. One influence is Rumiko Takahashi, especially Urusei Yatsura. For relaxation, she enjoys playing with her miniature schnauzers Milky and Kentarō. The name "Miku" is a traditional Japanese given name, but Mick Takeuchi is named after Mick Jagger.
