Cry, Cry, Darling is a 1954 country single by Jimmy C. Newman. It was written by Jimmy C. Newman and J. D. Miller and released on Dot Records (catalog 1195), with the B-side "You Didn't Have to Go." The 2:41 song was produced by Stan Lewis. In May 1954 it peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard country and western jukebox chart and stayed on the chart for 11 weeks. It ranked No. 24 on Billboard's 1954 year-end country and western jukebox chart. It was Newman's first hit and helped him win a regular role on the Louisiana Hayride TV show.
