Corentin Tolisso is a French professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder and captains Lyon in Ligue 1.

Born on 3 August 1994 in Tarare, France, he grew up near Amplepuis and began his football journey with local clubs before joining Lyon’s academy in 2007. He made his Lyon first-team debut in August 2013 and scored his first senior goal in March 2014. Early in his Lyon career he showed versatility, sometimes playing right back before settling in midfield. When he was 11, he scored a hat-trick in a 4–4 draw against his future club Lyon.

In 2017, Tolisso moved to Bayern Munich for €41.5 million, a German club record at the time. He helped Bayern win the Bundesliga and was part of the 2019–20 treble-winning team, including the Champions League final win.

He returned to Lyon in 2022 on a five-year deal and was named captain ahead of the 2025–26 season.

Internationally, Tolisso represented France at youth levels before making his senior debut in 2017. He was part of the France squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup and also played at Euro 2020. He scored his first goal for France in 2019.

A notable childhood fact: at 11, he scored a hat-trick in a 4–4 draw against Lyon, the club he would later join.
