Doorika
Doorika was a performance arts collective based in Chicago and New York City from 1990 to 1999. It brought together visual artists, performers, non-actors and musicians to create multimedia theater projects. It was co-founded in 1990 by John Dooley and Erika Yeomans. Many artists contributed to its shows, including Eric Koziol, Jon Langford, The Aluminum Group, Casey Spooner, Lisa Perry, and many others. Doorika released a benefit CD called DIG THIS in 1996 on Sweet Pea Records. They performed at venues such as PS 122, Ontological-Hysteric Theater, Chopin Theater, CBGB's Gallery, Chicago Filmmakers, Ohio Theater's Ice Factory Series, Vineyard Theater, Bailiwick Repertory Theatre, St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, and the Downtown Theater Festival, among others in New York and Chicago.
