Donvale is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, about 20 kilometres east of the city centre, in the City of Manningham. It sits between Doncaster Road and Springvale Road, which is how the suburb got its name.

The population is about 12,644 people (2021 census) living in an area of around 12.7 square kilometres. Most residents were born in Australia, with communities from China, Malaysia, England, Hong Kong and Italy also represented. English is the main language spoken at home, with other common languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian and Greek.

Religious affiliations vary, with about 29% of people reporting no religion, 23% Catholic, 9% Anglican, 6% Eastern Orthodox and others.

Donvale has its own Australian Rules football team, the Donvale Magpies, which competes in the Eastern Football League. The suburb also features an indoor sports centre with a gym, a sprung floor and a foam pit, plus two basketball courts that are used on Saturdays by the Doncaster District Primary School Basketball Association.

Historically, Donvale Post Office opened in 1929 and closed in 1972; the building now houses the Donvale Historical Society.

Nearby suburbs include Templestowe, Warrandyte, Park Orchards, Doncaster East, Ringwood North, Blackburn North, Nunawading and Mitcham. Donvale is a leafy, mainly residential area with a strong sense of community.
