Don Bartletti
Don Bartletti (born December 29, 1947) is an American photojournalist who worked for the Los Angeles Times for about 30 years, starting in 1983 and continuing into 2015. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography in 2003 for his photo essays about young Central American migrants. He has earned more than 40 awards from groups such as the San Diego Press Club, Los Angeles Press Club, National Press Photographers Association, Associated Press, United Press International, and the Los Angeles Times Editorial Award.
Bartletti was born in Philadelphia and earned an associate degree from Palomar College in 1968. He served as a First Lieutenant in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. Before joining the Los Angeles Times, he worked as a photographer for the Oceanside Blade-Tribune until 1977 and for the San Diego Union until 1983. He was also a finalist in 2015 for his photo series on Mexican farmworkers.
