1966 Swedish speedway season: The Swedish Individual Speedway Championship final was on 7 October in Stockholm, where Ove Fundin won his sixth Swedish title after five riders finished on 12 points and he won the race-off. Getingarna continued their dominance by winning Division 1 and taking the Swedish Speedway Team Championship for the fourth straight year. The Getingarna team included Göte Nordin, Leif Larsson, Bengt Jansson and Arne Carlsson. The league was reduced to 14 teams across three divisions (down from 19). Njudungarna won Division 2 and Indianerna won Division 3.
