Diocese of Ocaña
Diocese of Ocaña (Latin: Ocaniensis) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Colombia, within the ecclesiastical province of Nueva Pamplona. It was established on 26 October 1962 by Pope John XXIII and covers the departments of Norte de Santander and Cesar. The diocese spans about 18,000 square kilometers and includes 18 towns and two townships in the La Esperanza municipality. The cathedral is St. Anne’s Cathedral in Ocaña. It follows the Roman Rite. As of 2004, about 417,514 people lived in the diocese, of whom 352,137 were Catholics (84.3%). The current bishop is Orlando Olave Villanoba.
