European Society for Research in Adult Development
European Society for Research in Adult Development (ESRAD) brings together researchers from many disciplines who are interested in positive adult development. This field studies growth from late adolescence through life, focusing on abilities that improve quality of life. Topics include wisdom, cognitive and moral development, psychotherapy, adult education, political and societal development, and spirituality. Both empirical and theoretical research are welcome. ESRAD is connected with the Society for Research in Adult Development (SRAD). The society began in Lund, Sweden, in 2011, and has since held annual symposia in 2012 Coimbra (Portugal), 2013 Freiburg-im-Breisgau (Germany), 2014 Helsinki (Finland), 2016 The Hague (Netherlands), and 2018 London (UK). Since 2016, Dr. Oliver Robinson has served as president and Dr. Rebecca Hamer as vice-president.
