Plot
George Potts, a sanitation inspector and plumber working at a top-secret government research plant, accidentally acquires plans for a revolutionary atomic weapon. On his way home for holiday, security teams start a nationwide hunt for him. He has no idea why the fuss is about—he thinks people are after his new ballcock plumbing design. The Russians learn of the incident, try to lure him to Moscow with liquor and job promises, and intend to seize the plans. Potts falls for Tania, a secret agent, and gradually discovers the true nature of the plans. The missing plans keep moving around, ending up in Zekov’s coat lining, leading to a comic chase that takes him toward East Berlin.
Production
The film was shot at Elstree Studios with sets designed by art director Ivan King. It was released on 19 November 1952 in London, runs 93 minutes, and is in English.

Reception
The Monthly Film Bulletin described it as a heavily facetious comedy that leans on old-fashioned farce rather than sharp political satire. The New York Times found it enjoyable on the light side until it tangled with Communist themes. Variety praised the performances, especially Cole and Homolka, and noted strong supporting work. British critics have called it a breezy, satirical farce with some funny moments, while AllMovie highlights Homolka’s memorable performance as a Russian agent.
