Desiderata is the fourth studio album by the Norwegian metal band Madder Mortem. It was released in Norway on March 27, 2006, and worldwide on April 24, 2006. It was their first album released on Peaceville Records. The album runs 54 minutes and 43 seconds and blends progressive metal, avant-garde metal, gothic metal, and symphonic metal. The lead single, "My Name Is Silence," was released digitally and had a music video. In the band’s discography, Desiderata comes after Deadlands (2002) and before Eight Ways (2009). The title Desiderata comes from Latin and means "those things worth desiring."
